"We aim to be the preferred builder of
high-speed
offshore and commercial vessels in Asia" |
By continuing to invest in modern equipment, processes and personnel, we aim to make Penguin Shipyard International Asia’s premier builder of high-speed offshore and commercial vessels that commands a premium on superior performance and on-time delivery in the market.
Contrary to popular perception, one can build ships in Singapore profitably, safely and responsibly. The key is to focus on high-value vessels such as Fast Supply
Intervention Vessels (FSIV) and high-speed ferries, and tap growing markets such as the Middle East.

"We aim for sustainable profits by being
a truly global
marine and offshore player" |
Stable and sustainable growth is the lynchpin of our future growth strategy, now that Penguin has returned to profitability. To realise this vision, we are investing in fleet renewal and expansion to capture a bigger slice of the marine and offshore sectors. As part of our re-tonnaging strategy, we will trade our vessels in the global sale-and-purchase market and seek to reap profits through both vessel sales and vessel operations. Only by combining a trading mindset with an operating mentality, and viewing the world as our market, shall we realise our vision of stable and sustainable profits.

"We aim to build on our position as the
preferred ferry
operator to the Riau Islands" |
Penguin has long been the ferry operator of choice among Singaporeans and foreigners travelling to and from the Riau Islands. We prize safety over speed and we
adhere to international standards of Health, Safety and Environment.
We shall not rest on our laurels and we will continue to stay ahead of the competition by staying true to our commitments to Health Safety and Environment, and investing in newer, faster and more comfortable ferries, while continually improving our service to our valued passengers.

"We aim to become the preferred FSIV operator" |
Having pioneered the use of Fast Supply Intervention Vessels (i.e. modern high-speed multi-role crewboats) in Southeast Asia since 1997 through our wholly owned subsidiary, Pelican Offshore Services, we aim to expand our FSIV presence in Southeast Asia and the Middle East, leveraging on our extensive experience and expertise operating high-speed offshore vessels, and Pelican’s strategic alliance with Penguin Shipyard International. |
