Powered by MAN and CAT respectively
With full business class numbered seating, passenger lounge and segregated HVAC between decks
Introducing the Flex-42 Series – a newly designed multi-role executive crewboat that has set new standards in speed and comfort since its official launch in 2018.
Based on a well-proven proprietary design, the Flex-42 Series consistently outperforms in crew change and offshore pax transfers, from Asia to Africa to the Middle East.
For the 2023 model year, Penguin has introduced a new engine choice in its stock vessel lineup – the Flex-42MX, powered by MAN D2862 LE483.
The Flex-42MX is positioned alongside the existing Flex-42X flagship powered by CAT C32 ACERT.
For the 2023 model year, both Flex-42 model types will bring new levels of on-board comfort to offshore passengers.
These include an improved passenger lounge layout, toilet light indicators, an additional passenger shower cubicle, a completely pillar-less passenger saloon, plus many more “beneath the hood” improvements.
The Flex-42X is equipped with:
• 1 remotely operated external FiFi monitor (@ 1200 cbm per hour each or FiFi-½)
• Aerosol fire extinguishing system
• SOLAS rescue boat with davit
• Strategically located CCTV cameras
Additionally, the Flex-42MX and Flex-42X can transport up to 60 tons of deck cargo on a 110-square metre cargo deck, 75,600 litres of fuel and 20,000 litres of fresh water.
Matching operational efficiencies with creature comforts, the Flex-42X features up to 72 to 80 reclinable business class seats with individual USB charging ports, generous legroom in a friendly 2-by-2 seating arrangement, plenty of natural lighting and ample space for customisation.
Crew accommodation features in-cabin windows with natural lighting, a stylish mess and galley, and cosy personal spaces.
The Flex-42X series. A true multi-role vessel designed to execute a variety of missions, including offshore crew change, security and escort, search and rescue, fire fighting and medivac.
The Flex-42X. Speed and Comfort Reimagined.
