Penguin Shipyard International

Penguin Shipyard International in Tuas, Singapore, serves as the headquarters of parent company Penguin International Limited and specialises in the design, construction, repair and refit of bespoke high-speed aluminium vessels for private ship owners and government agencies, including:

  •  Offshore oil and gas crewboats
  •  Armoured security vessels
  •  Patrol boats
  •  Fire fighting search-and-rescue vessels
  •  Passenger ferries
  •  Fully electric and hybrid-electric vessels

In addition to aluminium shipbuilding projects, we also undertake the assembly and fit-out of composite structures and vessels for specialised roles.

Powered primarily by solar energy (850 kWp), our 30,000-square metre shipyard in Tuas is professionally managed and well-equipped, with:

  •  One 500-ton marine travelift
  •  Six 45-ton self-propelled modular transporters
  •  Two purpose-built fabrication workshops: 50m x 50m x 25m each, with overhead cranes
  •  One purpose-built fabrication workshops: 60m x 30m x 15m, with mobile crane
  •  One 2026-built waterfront dormitory for up to 399 personnel

Our flagship government projects in Singapore include:

  •  One newbuild full-hybrid multi-role patrol boat for the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore, including a ship management agreement for crewing and maintenance.
  •  Four newbuild high-speed fireboats for the Singapore Civil Defence Force, including a 25-year maintenance agreement.
  •  A major refurbishment and maintenance programme for 10 large border security patrol boats for the Singapore Police Coast Guard.
